Evidence

EVIDENCE LIBRARY

Every image should reveal its evidential status

AquaBIT separates concept design, computational simulation, physical validation and clinical research. Visual quality is not a substitute for measured performance.

Evidence labels used on this site: Concept illustration · Computational simulation · Tissue-equivalent phantom · Prototype measurement · Preclinical result · Clinical research result.

Only the label that accurately describes the source should accompany an image. At present, AquaBIT is not publishing clinical scan results.

Conceptual AquaBIT computational and experimental research programme

CONCEPT ILLUSTRATION

Research architecture

A visual description of the proposed relationship between modelling, controlled experiments, engineering and clinical research. It is not a measured result.

Computational electrical field model illustrating AquaBIT feasibility analysis

COMPUTATIONAL SIMULATION

Electrical-field modelling

Simulation is used to examine current paths, sensitivity, electrode geometry and potential detectability before physical studies.

What will be added next

Phantom evidence

Photographs of test objects, known target geometry, raw measurements, reconstructed outputs and quantitative error.

Prototype evidence

Calibration performance, repeatability, drift, signal-to-noise behaviour and acquisition-quality results.

Clinical research

Only ethics-approved, appropriately consented and anonymised results, accompanied by methods and limitations.

Minimum information for a result

  • Source and evidence category
  • Acquisition or simulation method
  • Reference standard and comparison metric
  • Known limitations and uncertainty
  • Date, version and development stage
